The Mesmer-Eye is an Immortal and Mythical rarity, Halloween-themed cosmetic set for Nyx Assassin in Dota 2, introduced in the Trove of Terror treasure. This striking cosmetic transforms the stealthy scarab into a terrifying, otherworldly horror, defined by a massive, hypnotic purple eye and sharp, bone-white carapace.
Originating from the Trove of Terror treasure, this set perfectly embraces the collection's focus on dark fantasy, eldritch monsters, and eerie seasonal motifs. The Mesmer-Eye fits seamlessly into this Halloween-inspired lineup with its supernatural, alien aesthetic. Please note that the Trove of Terror is a distinct release, meaning this reward is not a Collector’s Cache item.
Visually, the Mesmer-Eye gives Nyx Assassin a deeply unsettling, cosmic horror appearance. As detailed in the image preview, the set introduces several transformative features:
-
His standard carapace is replaced by sharp, pale white and silver chitinous armor that contrasts heavily with bright purple energies.
-
The Immortal back piece houses a massive, swirling purple eye nestled within jagged, bone-like plating.
-
The Immortal weapon transforms his front claws into menacing appendages that emit a bright, glowing purple aura and feature sharp, glowing tendrils.
-
The Mythical components complete the look with matching pale armor plating and glowing purple accents across his body.
-
The bundle includes custom ability effects, updating his in-game presence with a striking, radiant purple energy.
During matches, the Mesmer-Eye radically alters Nyx Assassin’s silhouette, trading his typical insectoid profile for the bulky, intimidating shape of an eldritch terror. The bright purple glow of his massive eye, weapons, and tendrils provides strong visual contrast against his pale armor, ensuring his character model remains instantly recognizable from a top-down perspective. The custom purple ability effects further reinforce this cohesive, otherworldly transformation during combat.
