The Greasepaint Gutbuster is an Immortal and Mythical rarity, Halloween-themed cosmetic set for Pudge in Dota 2, introduced in the Trove of Terror treasure. This deeply unsettling cosmetic transforms the iconic butcher into a horrifying carnival clown, complete with grotesque face paint, balloon animals, and a macabre puppet theater strapped to his back.
Originating from the Trove of Terror treasure, this set perfectly embraces the collection's focus on dark fantasy, eerie characters, and classic seasonal horror tropes. The Greasepaint Gutbuster fits seamlessly into this Halloween-inspired lineup with its twisted take on carnival aesthetics. Please note that the Trove of Terror is a distinct release, meaning this reward is not a Collector’s Cache item.
Visually, the Greasepaint Gutbuster gives Pudge a deeply chilling, chaotic appearance. As seen in the official designs, the set introduces several transformative features:
-
His face is covered in pale greasepaint, accented by a red clown nose, a tiny blue bowler hat, and wild green hair.
-
His oversized purple shirt is torn, revealing a yellow duck lodged in his belly, while his neck is wrapped in a ruffled collar.
-
The Immortal weapon and shoulder components equip him with a rusted circular saw-blade contraption and colorful balloon animals.
-
He also wields a tattered red umbrella tipped with sharp metal claws.
-
His back features a wooden puppet theater box adorned with skulls and a fiery backdrop, surrounded by hanging pennant flags and oversized chattering teeth toys.
During matches, the Greasepaint Gutbuster radically alters Pudge’s silhouette, trading his traditional butcher’s apron for the colorful, bulky layers of a corrupted clown. The stark contrast between his vibrant green hair, purple clothing, and pale painted face ensures his character model remains instantly recognizable from a top-down perspective. The cohesive integration of his bizarre carnival accessories, from the floating balloons to the intricate back-mounted puppet stage, reinforces this chaotic and imposing theme throughout the game.
