Valve has officially distributed the final The International 2026 Fantasy and Predictions rewards, and some players discovered an unexpected bonus waiting in their Armory.
If you already owned all six returning Dota 2 terrains, Valve gave you an extra Tyrian Regalia instead of leaving you with a reward you could no longer use.
And the timing is particularly amusing.
Just days earlier, TI 2026 champion Yatoro had jokingly asked IceFrog for one specific reward after revealing that his Fantasy and Predictions performance landed him around the 55th percentile: the purple Drow Ranger Immortal.Â
Here's how the reward works, and why that purple Drow cosmetic has suddenly become one of the more interesting collector pieces from TI 2026.
TI 2026 Fantasy and Predictions Rewards Have Been Released
The International 2026 Fantasy and Predictions rewards were based on players' final performance relative to the rest of the player base.
The major reward tiers included Dota Plus subscriptions, Terrain Tokens, physical Aegis discounts, and Tyrian Regalia treasures. Players reaching the 95th percentile received one Tyrian Regalia, while the Top 1,500 received two and the Top 100 received five.
The Tyrian Regalia contains five purple-themed Immortal variants:
- Disruptor - Tyrian Resistive Pinfold
- Nyx Assassin - Tyrian Latticean Hierarchy
- Drow Ranger - Tyrian Silent Wake
- Storm Spirit - Tyrian Lightning Orchid
- Timbersaw - Tyrian Rectifier
The Drow Ranger reward is particularly notable because Tyrian Silent Wake is the purple variant of the classic Silent Wake back item. It was released as part of the TI 2026 rewards and uses the same underlying model family while introducing its own purple coloration and effects.
Already Own Every Terrain? Valve Gives You Another Tyrian Regalia
This is where the reward distribution gets interesting.
The new Terrain Token allowed eligible players to select one of six returning terrains:
- Desert Terrain -TI 2015
- Immortal Gardens - TI 2016
- Reef's Edge - TI 2017
- The Emerald Abyss - TI 2018
- Overgrown Empire - TI 2019
- Sanctums of the Divine - TI 2020
For collectors who already had all six, however, another Terrain Token wouldn't have been particularly useful.
Valve's August 27 update specifically states:
“If you own every terrain, you will be granted an extra Tyrian Regalia to claim.”
That means longtime Dota 2 collectors who had accumulated these terrains over the years effectively received another opportunity to claim one of the five Tyrian Immortals.
And for collectors, that's a pretty significant little bonus.
Instead of being penalized for already owning the older rewards, Valve essentially converted the redundant terrain reward into another shot at the Tyrian Regalia pool.
Yatoro Asked for the Purple Drow Immortal
Then there's the timing.
After Team Spirit won TI 2026, Yatoro took the stage with his teammates to celebrate the team's third Aegis.
During the post-match interview, he revealed that his Fantasy and Predictions performance wasn't exactly championship material.
He said he was in the 55th percentile, joked that his predictions had been terrible, and then asked IceFrog for a very specific consolation prize:
the purple Drow Ranger Immortal.
The moment quickly became one of the more memorable post-TI jokes, with fans echoing the request for Valve to give the champion his purple Drow.
And the irony is that Valve didn't need to create a special reward for Yatoro.
The existing reward system already provides legitimate paths to receiving a Tyrian Regalia, including the bonus for players who own every returning terrain. Community reports also indicate that participating professionals received one.
Did Valve Give Yatoro the Drow Immortal?
Not based on anything Valve has publicly said.
There's no evidence that the extra Tyrian Regalia was created specifically for Yatoro or that Valve made an individual exception for him.
In fact, that's what makes the situation interesting.
The existing reward system already gives eligible players with all six terrains another Tyrian Regalia, while community reports suggest TI participants received one as well. So there appears to be more than one legitimate path to receiving the purple treasure without requiring Valve to make a special Yatoro-only exception.
Why TI Participants Also Receiving Tyrian Regalia Matters
There's another interesting detail that emerged after the rewards were distributed.
Community members began sharing screenshots showing that professional players who participated at The International 2026 also received a Tyrian Regalia.
That changes the context around Yatoro's purple Drow request.
If Yatoro received a Tyrian Regalia, it would be easy to assume Valve gave the TI champion a special reward after he publicly asked IceFrog for the purple Drow Immortal. But if participating professionals received the same reward as well, Yatoro wasn't necessarily being singled out.
Instead, Valve appears to have given TI participants a Tyrian Regalia through a broader reward arrangement, putting Yatoro in the same position as the other players who received one.
And that makes the whole situation considerably more amusing.
Yatoro asked for Tyrian Silent Wake.
Valve gave him a chance to get it without needing to create a Yatoro-specific reward.
Of course, the screenshots circulating in the community don't establish exactly why Valve chose to distribute Tyrian Regalia to TI participants. So it's safer to treat the reason as speculation rather than an official explanation.
But one thing is clear: the purple Drow wasn't simply reserved for the TI champion. Other participants had a chance at it too.
And That Purple Drow Has a Surprisingly Good Cache Match
Here's where things get especially interesting for Drow Ranger collectors.
Tyrian Silent Wake isn't just another purple Immortal.
The original Silent Wake has been one of Drow Ranger's recognizable Immortal cosmetics since 2016, and the Tyrian version keeps that same visual identity while replacing its original palette with the striking purple treatment.
And there's a particular Collector's Cache set that makes the combination stand out:
Stranger in the Wandering Isles.
The Aghanim's 2021 Collector's Cache set already works exceptionally well with the original Silent Wake. Its deep blues, purple accents, luminous crystalline details, and ornate design give Drow a distinctly mystical appearance.
But swap the traditional Silent Wake for Tyrian Silent Wake, and the combination takes on a completely different character.
The blue-and-purple palette of the Cache set suddenly gets a much stronger electric-purple accent from the Tyrian Immortal.
It's not that the purple version finally gives Silent Wake a matching set.
The original combination already worked.
It's that Tyrian Silent Wake makes the same Cache loadout considerably more striking.
So Yatoro's request and the all-terrain bonus ended up lining up in a rather funny way.
The champion asked for purple Drow.
Collectors with a decade's worth of terrain history got another chance at the purple Drow.
Coincidence? Almost certainly the safer conclusion.
But it's still pretty funny timing.

A Funny Ending to TI 2026's Prediction Rewards

Then came the Tyrian Regalia rewards.

And here's the important part: the Tyrian Regalia isn't a random drop. Each Regalia lets the recipient choose one of five Tyrian Immortal variants including Drow Ranger's Tyrian Silent Wake.
So if Yatoro received one, he doesn't have to hope that luck gives him the Drow Immortal he asked for. He can simply choose it.
That makes the whole situation pretty funny.
Yatoro asked IceFrog for purple Drow. Valve's reward system then gave TI participants a Tyrian Regalia, putting Yatoro in a position to choose the exact cosmetic he wanted without needing a Yatoro-specific reward.
Of course, whether Valve distributed the Regalia to participating professionals specifically to avoid making Yatoro look favored is still speculation. The community has certainly noticed the timing, though.
For Drow collectors, the important part is much simpler.
Tyrian Silent Wake is here and that purple Immortal brings a striking new look to Drow Ranger's Stranger in the Wandering Isles Collector's Cache set.

Now, all he has to do is pick it.
