The Creeping Calabash is a distinctive, Halloween-themed cosmetic set for Treant Protector in Dota 2, released in the Trove of Terror treasure. This Immortal and Mythical rarity set transforms the towering forest guardian into an eerie, animated pumpkin patch bound by twisting thorny vines.
Originating from the Trove of Terror treasure, this set embraces the collection's focus on dark fantasy and seasonal motifs. The Creeping Calabash fits perfectly into this Halloween-inspired lineup with its supernatural harvest aesthetic. Please note that the Trove of Terror is a distinct release, meaning this item is not a Collector’s Cache reward.
Visually, the set gives Treant Protector a chilling, overgrown appearance. As seen in the official designs, it introduces several transformative features:
-
His head is replaced by a massive jack-o'-lantern with glowing yellow eyes and jagged wooden teeth.
-
The hero's fists are formed from large pumpkins equipped with sharp wooden claws.
-
Thick, vibrant green thorny vines and broad leaves heavily entangle his wooden body, snaking across his back and shoulders.
-
Smaller pumpkins sprout along his legs and arms, seamlessly blending the harvest theme into his bark.
-
The bundle features custom ability icons and altered in-game effects, showcasing sprawling vines and flaming stone braziers.
During matches, the Creeping Calabash radically alters Treant Protector’s silhouette, trading his peaceful canopy for the bulk of a monstrous gourd. The bright orange pumpkins provide strong visual contrast against his dark bark and green vines. This cohesive array of thorny overgrowth ensures his character model remains instantly recognizable from a top-down perspective, especially when deploying his custom vine-based abilities.
Set Includes:
- Creeping Calabash - Head
- Creeping Calabash - Shoulder
- Creeping Calabash - Legs
- Creeping Calabash - Arms
For Dota 2 players and collectors, this set holds strong appeal due to its ambitious Halloween design and dual rarity. It offers a dramatic departure from Treant Protector’s standard look, making it an excellent choice for hero mains and those collecting Trove of Terror items.
Add the Creeping Calabash to your Dota 2 collection and bring a haunted harvest to your next match.
