The Arachnid Anathema is an Immortal and Mythical rarity, Halloween-themed cosmetic set for Broodmother in Dota 2, introduced in the Trove of Terror treasure. This striking cosmetic transforms the arachnid queen into a terrifying, neon-infused nightmare defined by a glowing green abdomen and heavy, gold-plated legs.
Originating from the Trove of Terror treasure, this set perfectly embraces the collection's focus on dark fantasy, eerie creatures, and seasonal motifs. The Arachnid Anathema fits seamlessly into this Halloween-inspired lineup with its supernatural spider aesthetic. Please note that the Trove of Terror is a distinct release, meaning this reward is not a Collector’s Cache item.
Visually, the Arachnid Anathema gives Broodmother a chilling, radioactive appearance. As detailed in the image preview, the set introduces several transformative features:
-
Her standard body is covered in deep blue, bristly fur that contrasts sharply with the glowing accents.
-
The Mythical head and misc pieces feature large, glowing neon green horn-like mandibles and a cluster of bright green eyes.
-
The Immortal back and leg components equip her with thick, segmented gold and tan armor plating, while sharp, glowing green spines protrude from her back.
-
Her abdomen is reimagined with a massive, terrifying maw that radiates an intense, pulsing green light.
-
The bundle includes matching skins for her spiderlings, mirroring her blue fur and glowing green features, alongside custom ability effects that update her webs and spells with a toxic green hue.
During matches, the Arachnid Anathema radically alters Broodmother’s visual impact, trading her natural earthen tones for a vibrant, supernatural palette. The bright neon glow of her head, back spines, and massive abdomen provides strong visual contrast against her dark blue fur and tan armor, ensuring her character model remains instantly recognizable from a top-down perspective. The custom green ability effects and matching spiderlings create a cohesive, overwhelming swarm aesthetic as she takes over the map.
